In order to continue to protect each other and our community, KSS affirms our commitment to vaccination, requiring that everyone who spends time inside our building be as vaccinated as possible. By entering the synagogue, you are attesting that you are fully vaccinated, as eligible. In the case of mitigating circumstances, in which a participant is unvaccinated or has not received a recent booster or updated vaccine, the participant is requested to test.
We follow CDC guidelines regarding masking. Masking is not required unless CDC hospital admission levels are “high” for Nassau and/or Suffolk Counties.
When Nassau and/or Suffolk Counties are designated "high," we require masking (K95 or KN95) or a negative COVID test within 24 hours. Members will be on the honor system for testing; guests will be asked to show proof of recent test (such as a photo with a time stamp). and we want to protect the vulnerable among us and our loved ones, so we will continue to mask indoors. At events including meals, all participants will be asked to test first.
In-person, indoor gatherings will also be Zoomed, so that all people, regardless of health status or comfort level will be able to participate. These requirements, our new air purifiers, and accommodations enable us to safely come together as a community. We are grateful for your continued support and cooperation.
