Beginning June 6, the Lunch & Learn group will begin Standing Again at Sinai, the first-ever book of Jewish feminist theology.  In the words of author Judith Plaskow, "The subject of this book is feminist Judaism. Exploring the implications of women's increasing involvement in naming and shaping the Jewish tradition, it asks what might happen to the central categories of Jewish thought as women enter into the process of defining them." These words were written nearly 30 years ago and continue to have much to say to us. Bring your thoughts, your experience, your self, your hopes and dreams to our conversation.
Buy or borrow the book and read the introduction and first chapter for discussion at our first session. RSVP to Rabbi Lina for location.
